When these celebrities names are searched on search engines. There are chances to generate results that are malicious in nature. Clicking these results might land up on website which have some sort of malicious activity happening on it.

Attackers typically use popular celebrities as bait to lead victims to sites hosting malware.

Google acquires Jambool for $70 million | Jambool's Social Gold Technology allows payment options in online games


Google $70 million acquisition of Jambool " Social Gold = virtual currency service" has strengthened its plans of creating a robust online social media platform with games being a vital part of acquiring immediate interest; a strategy used very well by social media giant Facebook with highly popular gaming / widget platforms by Zynga & Slide.

Google has already taken in Slide which cost them $228 million, Jambool cost $70 million and Google's investment in Zynga is reportedly $100 million or more.

Google spokesperson mentioned: "We're pleased and excited to welcome the Jambool team to Google. We are committed to offering consumers and merchants innovative digital payment solutions and Jambool will help Google evolve our payments offering and expand into digital goods and content.

When asked what Google will use Jambool for, the spokesperson said: "E-commerce is a critical part of the Web experience for many users, and the very talented Jambool team will be a valuable asset to Google as we work to improve these experiences."

A Chinese company claims to have created a 3G Jacket for the iPod touch device to be converted into a functional iPhone with calling and SMS'ing facilities. The tPhone is a third working jacket which has been made till now, just like the Apple Peel 520 and the Sprint-bound Peel. tPhone is a device which adds a 3G modem to a jailbroken iPod touch, which then allows for phone calls and SMS. The device has a 1,200mAh battery, 50 percent larger than the previously made Apple Peel, It naturally also offers a SIM slot and a dock port, augmented by a handy microUSB port on the side. Its not yet on sale in China but you need not wait long for it to be sold in the grey market. The tPhone Ipod Touch Jacket costs about $100.

Research in Motion announced the launch of BlackBerry Curve 3G which will be on sale and shipped this months onwards. As the name goes this phone supports calling and data over 3G networks, and comes with the upgraded operating system BlackBerry 6 OS. Some other additional features are: GPS suppport and video recording.

Not much news on the pricing bit but the curve is expected to be priced lesser than the BlackBerry Torch and is confirmed to be launched with T-Mobile in USA and Rogers Wireless in Canada as the network Partners.

Skype files for $ 100 Million IPO | Internet Telephony Giant Skype plans grand IPO

Skype the internet telephony giant announced on Monday that it has filed an S-1 statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission and plans an IPO of $ 100 Million. After the IPO, Skype will trade on the Nasdaq Global Market. Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and Morgan Stanley are among the banks handling the IPO. Neither a price range nor a date for the IPO have yet been set.

This IPO had been a long awaiting call for Skype since 2009, when online auction giant eBay, which had acquired Skype in 2006, sold off its controlling interest in Skype.

Skype offers a software-based communications service that allows people to make free voice and video calls over the Internet to other Skype users using almost any Internet-connected device. The VoIP service also allows people to make and receive calls from regular telephone numbers using a paid service. Its chat application is also used widely used by chat users.
